How to use it

This mode builds a signature from text instead of a drawing. Type your name in the input box, then step through the handwriting-style fonts until one looks like something you'd actually sign — some read as a fast cursive scrawl, others as a neater script, and the best pick usually depends on how your own handwriting looks on paper. Once a style looks right, click Download PNG. The export has a transparent background, so the text renders as standalone ink with no white rectangle around it. That's what lets you drop it straight into a PDF signature field, a Word or Google Docs template, an invoice, an email signature block, or a contract you're sending out for a countersignature — the font shows through as if it were written directly on the page underneath. Because the signature comes from a font rather than a hand-drawn stroke, the biggest lever for a clean result is choosing the right style and size rather than practicing a mouse motion. Try a few fonts side by side before committing, since some scripts get harder to read at small sizes — if you plan to place the signature small (like in a footer), pick a style that stays legible rather than the most elaborate-looking one. The PNG is rendered at high resolution, so scaling it down in a document editor won't blur it. As with the draw mode, none of this leaves your device. The font rendering and PNG export happen locally in your browser, so your name and the resulting image are never sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

What fonts are used?
The styles use handwriting and script fonts already on your device, so no external fonts are loaded and the tool stays fast and private. The exact look may vary slightly by device.
Can I change the size of the signature?
The downloaded PNG is rendered at a high resolution that scales down cleanly. You can resize it in any document or image editor after downloading.
How do I add this signature to a PDF?
Download the PNG, then insert it as an image in your PDF editor (Adobe Acrobat, Preview on Mac, or a free tool like DocHub). Because the background is transparent, it drops onto the signature line without covering the text or lines behind it.
Is a typed signature legally binding?
Not by itself. A typed-name image is a visual stand-in for a signature, useful for informal documents, drafts, or footers. If you need a legally enforceable e-signature with an audit trail, use a dedicated e-signature platform instead of this tool.
