Bar Chart Maker
Paste your data to build a bar chart instantly. Use an optional header row for series names and a first column for category labels; extra numeric columns become grouped bars.
How it works
A bar chart compares a numeric value across categories using rectangular bars whose lengths are proportional to the values. Paste your data with one row per category: the first column holds the category label and each following column is a numeric series. If you include a header row, its cells name the series and appear in the legend; with two or more numeric columns the bars are grouped side by side for easy comparison.
The chart updates live as you edit the data and adapts to light and dark themes. Data can be comma-, tab- or space-separated, so you can paste straight from a spreadsheet. When you are happy with it, take a screenshot to drop the chart into a report or slide.
Examples
- One numeric column draws a simple bar chart, one bar per category.
- Two or more numeric columns draw grouped bars with a legend.
- A header row names the series; the first column names the categories.
Frequently asked questions
- What data format does it accept?
- Comma-, tab- or space-separated rows. The first column is treated as category labels and the remaining columns as numeric series; an all-text first row is used as the header.
- How do I make grouped bars?
- Add more than one numeric column. Each column becomes its own series, and the bars for each category are drawn side by side with a legend.
- Does it work on mobile and in dark mode?
- Yes. The chart is responsive and re-colours automatically for light and dark themes.
- How do I save the chart?
- Take a screenshot of the chart area. Everything runs in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
